The Howard family has a long history in South Central Kansas, a history tied to agriculture. Starting back in the late 1800's to early 1900's, JE Howard served the Wichita-Sedgwick County area as a county commissioner. JE formed the "Rate Bureau" to establish lower and consistent freight rates for grain. JE also owned and operated 2 flour mills in Wichita, the latest,"Howard Mills", was located on the Arkansas River on West Douglas. In 1909, JE Howard and his son CR Howard, an entrepreneur like his father, joined forces to establish the "Howard Oil Company", the first oil company in the area. Again, the market was agriculture and the area outside of Wichita began to develop rapidly. CR built the business selling oil, gas, kerosene to area farms to fufill demand. CR went on to build filling stations in area towns including; Haven, Burrton, and Mount Hope. In the mid 1900's RT Howard (Ralph Taft Howard) son of CR, my grandfather, started opening and operating many of the different businesses he would own in his lifetime. The most notable business of this entrepreneur is "Howard's Incorporated" at Mount Hope. It was one of the very first Massey Harris dealerships in the state of Kansas when it opened in 1948. The business is still operated today by RT's son, JE Howard (Jerry Eugene), my father. The business has held the same name for decades and has been known as “the place to go get everything you need to get back into the field”. Mom(Jan) and Dad(Jerry) are still there every day helping area farmers with their repair and machinery needs. I was raised working in the family's farm machinery dealership in Mount Hope, Kansas (Howard's Incorporated). I did anything they needed from parts, to service, to sales. In that time, I gained a vast understanding of production agriculture, cereal grains, row crops, and livestock production.
Then, I decided to take a different path and got my real estate license. Thus, my past and my present collided, Results Realty LLC. was born.
I have been a licensed real estate sales professional since 2003 in the state of Kansas.
I completed real estate broker curriculum in 2006. This curriculum required significant experience and sales volume in order to qualify to take the course work.
My wife, Joyce and I made the decision to start our own real estate company in 2008 and Results Realty, LLC was launched.
I attended the Missouri Auction School in 2008 to offer auction services to clients. I finished all ALC (Accredited Land Consultant) class work (120 hours) and passed all tests, including a final exam in 2011 to achieve the highest designation available to land agents. I am a top producing broker throughout South Central Kansas consistently year after year with sales volume exceeding $5 million every year in land sales.
I am a 1031 Exchange Professional so, I have helped many clients and customers with 1031 exchanges, both forward and reverse. Besides years of experience, I also completed a 1031 exchange class with the Realtors Land Institute for ALC designation.
The focus of our company is land, agricultural land. Results Realty, LLC may have been formed in 2008 but the roots and knowledge here are over a century old. In 2017 we added to the Results Realty family by adding Results Land Co. to our brand.
I am very proud to be part of an ongoing agricultural tradition.
